The Gîtes de France propose a real alternative to the usual offers of leisure accommodation, without any formality or standardisation. Beyond a true art of living for one’s holidays, Gîtes de France offers what one cannot buy: authenticity, warmth, communication, a whole infinite palette of sensations and emotions for rediscovering France, its people and its sceneries. Starting off from a simple idea, the Gîtes de France have become a must for eco-tourism in France, By bringing together the regional networks of Gîtes de France, the Fédération Nationale is the guarantor for the Gîtes de France Movement’s mission:
- To promote touristy stays in a rural environment by developing quality accommodation
– To meet the requirements and needs of tourists looking for authenticity, conviviality, nature, tranquillity, adventure and discovery of the country
– To participate in the upgrading and conservation of rural heritage and environment
– To contribute to assist the rural populations by bringing in added resources
– To participate in local development by increasing tourism potential.

• Bed and Breakfast
The room rate always includes a hearty breakfast which will give you an opportunity to appreciate the different local specialties. Depending on cases and the housemistress’ inspiration, you will taste home made jams, the fresh farmhouse bread, but also the viennoiseries or the home made pastries, the cheeses and the dairy products or the regional charcuterie. As the day starts, it is a special time for exchanges and conviviality.

• Rural Gîtes
It can be rented for a few days, for a week-end, and generally for one or more weeks, especially during school holidays. On arrival, the owners will offer you the best welcome. The Gîtes de France quality label guarantees specific standards of comfort (in 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 épis) and respect of a national charter. All Gîtes de France rural lodgings are regularly checked and classified furnished for tourists, in accordance with the amended decree of 28/12/1976.

• Overnight and Hostel Gîtes
The overnight lodgings also allow you to make a halt while on a walking, cycling or horse riding excursion... To be noted that many owners can accommodate you for an overnight or short stay.

• Camping – Natural camping site
Our camping and natural camping sites will welcome you generally near a farm or on shaded grounds. You can enjoy the joys of nature in an utmost friendly way, and depending on sites, leisure equipment such as playing room, sports ground (volleyball, tennis, swimming-pool…) crèche, including the possibility of tasting farm products.
